Alabama Appleseed is excited to announce that our 2022 annual event is an evening of film and inspiration!

Join us for Celebrate Justice: The Art of Advocacy on Thursday, October 13th from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Birmingham Museum of Art (2000 Reverend Abraham Woods Jr Boulevard, Birmingham, AL 35203) as we screen two short films highlighting Appleseed’s work to create a better Alabama.

Doors open at 5 p.m. with the program starting at 5:30 p.m.

Parking is available in the lot behind the Museum, on the street, or in the parking deck adjacent to Boutwell Auditorium.

Films include Pulled Over/Pulled Under produced by AL.com and Reckon, directed by Anissa Latham, and narrated by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist John Archibald.

Appleseed will also premiere 188 Years: Life After Life Without Parole, a documentary by filmmaker and Director of UAB’s Media Studies Program Michele Forman.

There will be merriment and refreshment in the beautiful setting of the Birmingham Museum of Art. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
